Benjamin Rubke owns and operates Tackwell Co. out of Tacoma, WA. Family is Ben’s number one priority, and Tackwell Co. was created as a way to leverage his expertise in business while remaining close to his 4 children and navigating a world that shut down during the pandemic.
Ben grew up in a small logging & ranching community in the Sierra Nevada’s. He has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years and combines his love for nature and the values he learned in the mountains, with the life experience and grit learned uniquely in Tacoma. Ben was educated at PLU in economics and has a mind for modelling and analysis. He believes in the strength and power of connection, to family, to community, to business, as the catalyst to a life well-lived.
As a systems thinker, he enjoys creating solutions to complex challenges. His broad industry experience across Green Tech and Utilities, Design, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Service Industry, Healthcare, Hardware, B2B, B2C, and Construction have sharpened his skills in asking the right questions and delivering the right solutions.
Ben believes that the “how” is often more important than the “what”. Companies and people should be changed by experiencing the way that we work in addition to the results we produce. Our communication, our body language, our written words should all consistently point to being equitable, adaptable, and encouraging. Our ability to listen, should be the only thing stronger than our ability to communicate.
